Ego comes into existence from limitation and each day it gets the opportunity to become stronger. Human beings should acquire an ability to accept mistakes without any ego. We often wait, out of our Ego, for others to take an initiative to say sorry, purely to satisfy our ego. By expressing our apology to peoplewhomwe hurt, we not only cleanse our hearts, but also open their minds towards better living. By forgiving people who hurt us, we free ourselves. The power of apology is deeper than many words. To realize our wrongdoings and the need to owe an apology is itself a cleansing experience. It is said that ego is the only requirement to destroy any relationship. So be the bigger person, skip the 'E' and let it 'GO'.

EGO - Edging GodOut. That means, pushing God or joy away fromus. Ego does not allowGod to truly be present in you, there is no room to serve both the 'God of Self' and the one and true 'God'. Ego replaces God with the God of Self. This is why, many times throughout the Holy Books, we are warned about the sin of pride and the sin of self. Ego needs to be dealt with; it needs to be overcome and destroyed. We need to remove ego from our hearts and allow God to live there. Ego has no home in God's creation; ego has no reason to live in the temple of God; it is an impure thought, one of distraction, and destruction of self and others. If we cannot love the person whomwe see, how canwe loveGod, whowe cannot see?
